Rachel A. Brennan Ph.D., P.E.

Dr. Brennan is an Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at Penn State University and a Senior Consultant with Golder Associates. Dr. Brennan’s expertise is the development and application of enhanced bioremediation technologies for restoring environments contaminated with acid mine drainage, hazardous wastes, and trace organic chemicals. Her current research program focuses on ecological wastewater treatment and the beneficial reuse of aquatic plant biomass (like duckweed) for the production of sustainable fertilizers, fodder, and biofuels. Dr. Brennan serves as the Director of the Penn State Eco-Machine™  and is a Faculty Advisor to the Penn State chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
