The State College Borough Water Authority is seeking a Director of Finance. There are 40 employees and an annual budget of approximately $10.8 million. This role will be responsible for maintaining payroll and financial records, assisting with budgetary matters, administration of financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, and administering the provision of the PA Municipal Authorities Act. This position is salaried. The Authority offers a competitive salary and full benefits package. Candidate must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's license.
Minimum qualifications include; an associate’s degree in finance, business administration, or accounting, and practices preferred or the equivalent in experience, 2-4 years of experience administering programs related to finance and payroll practices, performance management, analytical skills, accounting principles and employee relations. Proficiency with computer programs, Microsoft Office. Ability to apply strategies and practices in compliance with organization, state and federal employment regulations. General knowledge of Authority operations and procedures and Municipal investment regulations. Demonstrated focus on customer service and helpfulness as characteristics.
