IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DRINKING WATER
Attention all customers served by the State College Borough Water Authority. An application to have the Authority’s public water supply permit amended was submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on October 7, 2022 requesting to discontinue the addition of Fluoride to the drinking water supply. The application was published in the PA Bulletin for public comment, which closed on November 28, 2022. Approval was granted January 3, 2023 to cease fluoridation.
The State College Borough Water Authority will cease fluoridation on March 31, 2023. It is important to note that this will in no way affect the quality of the water. The water will continue to meet all DEP drinking water regulations without the addition of fluoride.
